Universal Health Therapeutics (SO), an oncology-focused biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a Director of Drug Development to lead drug development efforts for specific programs and contribute more broadly to its efforts to advance its cancer therapeutic technologies. The Director of Drug Development is responsible for the overall coordination of proof-of-concept, proof-of-efficacy preclinical pharmacology research projects, non-clinical toxicology, ADME, CMC and other Pre-IND activities for our internal projects.
In this role, the Director of Drug Development works daily with all members of a diverse team, and collaborates with scientists, and contract research organizations/contract development and manufacturing organizations (CROs/CDMOs) to prepare study designs, obtain quotes from collaborating scientists and CROs/CDMOs to perform the studies, and manage the studies from initiation to report generation on behalf of SO. The Director of Drug Development will also assist in tracking program progress, interpreting data, and the compiling and reporting of results for internal and external presentations.
To be successful in the position, the Director of Drug Development must be self-motivated and objective-driven. The position requires an advanced understanding of, and proficiency with experimental procedures routinely met in a pharmacology laboratory and in drug development. SO is looking for an innovative research fellow with a strong background in computer science, mathematics, and data mining to:
(1) Conduct research and development that will advance and evolve SO’s ExpansiveAI platform technology. This will include research to optimize the knowledge representation strategies and enable intelligent and efficient linking of disparate datasets. It will also include advanced machine learning algorithm development for supervised and unsupervised modeling and mining of linked knowledge in order to discover novel insights from big data.
